The origin of Capodimonte ceramics or porcelain originates from the hill of the same name on the outskirts of Naples where, in the eighteenth century, King Charles of Bourbon and his wife Maria Amalia of Saxony founded the Royal Factory of Capodimonte. Famous throughout the world, it has been used in home decor especially for the creation of landscapes and sculptures. The Gli Alberelli brand continues this centuries-old tradition under the guidance of the fourth generation of ceramic artists, Marco and Monica Prestieri.
