Venini / Rugiada / Purple vase

Modern Murano glass vase, with a slender shape and bottle silhouette. Its particular surface, a pulegoso effect, was obtained by spraying droplets of water on the liquefied glass. A technique that is difficult to execute, handmade by Venini's master craftsmen. Venini was founded in 1921 at the hands of the Milanese lawyer Paolo Venini and the Venetian antiques dealer Giacomo Cappellin. There were many star architects who collaborated with the company including: Alessandro Mendini, Carlo Scarpa, Fabio Novembre and Gio Ponti.
