Venini / Tapio Wirkala / Sky mole plate

Tapio Virkkala designs this fantastic modern centerpiece plate inspired by the seabed of the Finnish sea. The master craftsmen, based on his idea, create a centerpiece in blown Murano glass, incalmo with effect. Venini was founded in 1921 at the hands of the Milanese lawyer Paolo Venini and the Venetian antiques dealer Giacomo Cappellin. There were many star architects who collaborated with the company including: Alessandro Mendini, Carlo Scarpa, Fabio Novembre and Gio Ponti.
