Venini / 1930s / Ivory floor lamp

Modern floor lamp with anthracite metal base and gold detail. The structure features a fine Murano glass covering with torchon effect. The lampshade is also made of blown Murano glass. The silhouette recalls the sober style of the Thirties, with a slight flare, typical of the entire Venini line dedicated to the Thirties. Venini was founded in 1921 at the hands of the Milanese lawyer Paolo Venini and the Venetian antiques dealer Giacomo Cappellin. There were many star architects who collaborated with the company including: Alessandro Mendini, Carlo Scarpa, Fabio Novembre and Gio Ponti.
