Royal Copenhagen. Christmas 2005 plate from the Bing series, in porcelain decorated with cobalt blue. It depicts a group of children on the banks of a lake, busy observing some fantastic swans. Royal Copenhagen has its roots in 1775 when it was founded by Frantz Heinrich Müller, a pharmacist who had obtained the privilege to manufacture these porcelains under the protection of Queen Juliana Maria of Brunswick-Lüneburg. the brand produces both plates and decorative objects as well as the annual Christmas and Easter themed collections.
