Royal Copenhagen, collectible Christmas plate from the Bing series, 1986. The cobalt blue decoration on porcelain represents a snowy landscape where a fawn and some hares are attracted by a festive bell. Royal Copenhagen has its roots in 1775 when it was founded by Frantz Heinrich Müller, a pharmacist who had obtained the privilege to manufacture these porcelains under the protection of Queen Juliana Maria of Brunswick-Lüneburg. the brand produces both plates and decorative objects as well as the annual Christmas and Easter themed collections.
