Venini / Oriente / Straw ivory cup

Oriente is a fine cup obtained with a special technique that sees the fusion between aluminum washers and liquefied glass. The materials, melting, create this particular peacock eye effect. Also available as a vase. Venini was founded in 1921 at the hands of the Milanese lawyer Paolo Venini and the Venetian antiques dealer Giacomo Cappellin. There were many star architects who collaborated with the company including: Alessandro Mendini, Carlo Scarpa, Fabio Novembre and Gio Ponti.
