Elsa is the absolute protagonist in the Royal Copenhagen collections. Here she is depicted trying to fly a kite high into the sky. To keep her company, a dog that she lovingly caresses. The modern sculpture was decorated entirely by hand and features a fine cobalt blue. Royal Copenhagen has its roots in 1775 when it was founded by Frantz Heinrich Müller, a pharmacist who had obtained the privilege to manufacture these porcelains under the protection of Queen Juliana Maria of Brunswick-Lüneburg. the brand produces both plates and decorative objects as well as the annual Christmas and Easter themed collections.
